Ubisoft’s subscription service is coming to Amazon and Stadia

Uplay Plus, Ubisoft’s games subscription service for PC, is rebranding as Ubisoft Plus, and will expand to Amazon’s Luna cloud gaming service and, later, Google Stadia, the company announced.

The service still costs $14.99 per month, still features more than 100 Ubisoft titles, and is still for Windows PC only. Support for Luna will begin with a beta. Ubisoft Plus subscribers need only to link their accounts with the Amazon Luna service to get Ubisoft’s library on that platform. There is no extra charge.

Ubisoft said Google Stadia access will be implemented by the end of the year, and likewise requires no extra charge. Users do not have to be subscribed to Stadia Pro; the free version of Stadia is enough.

Ubisoft Plus launched as Uplay Plus in September 2019; its library includes new releases on the day they launch, such as Watch Dogs: Legion, which arrives on Thursday.

Ubisoft is the second large publisher to rebrand its on-demand product; the Electronic Arts service formerly known as EA Access became EA Play back in August, ahead of its launch on Steam, and inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass library.
