Kerbal Space Program 2 delayed again, until fiscal year 2023
Kerbal Space Program 2 is being delayed until Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal year 2023, according to a financial report from the company. Kerbal Space Program is a space flight simulator, where the player must help a tiny, spacefaring culture navigate the stars by helping them create the actual infrastructure and craft necessary to survive.
The original Kerbal Space Program was created by developer Squad, but Kerbal Space Program 2 was announced at Gamescom 2019 as a project by Star Theory Games, under the Private Division label. The game was originally intended to launch in March 2020, but was later delayed to Take-Two’s 2021 fiscal year, which covers April 2020 through March 2021, and then delayed again to fall 2021 due to the coronavirus.
Now, Take Two reports state that the game is delayed until the fiscal year of 2023, which runs from April 2022 to March 2023. The original Space Kerbal Program is still available on Steam and continues to update. Its most recent update, Shared Horizons, is a collaboration with the European Space Agency that includes custom cosmetics and space missions based off real-life events.
