Xbox Series X and S in stock now in UK at John Lewis, Asda, Very, and more

The next gen Xbox consoles are released today and if you’re lucky you may even be able to pick one up without a pre-order.

The Xbox Series X officially launches today, in the UK and elsewhere, which means in an ideal world you’d just be able to walk into a store and pick one up off the shelf. But thanks to COVID and limited stock you can’t do either of those two things.

However, some stores have got consoles available online, so there is a chance to get lucky. Amazon doesn’t have either the Xbox Series X or S and neither does GAME but at time of writing John Lewis has both in stock and so does Asda.

Meanwhile, although Microsoft and Very has sold out of Xbox Series X they do still have Xbox Series S available, but probably not for long.

Xbox Series X consoles to buy now in the UK

John Lewis – £449.00
Asda/George – £449.99

Xbox Series S consoles to buy now in the UK

John Lewis – £249.00
Asda – £249.99
Very – £249.99

It’s not in stock to buy instantly but you can pre-order the Xbox Series S at GAME, even though you can’t for the Xbox Series X at the moment.

The Microsoft Store is also still promoting Xbox All Access, where you can pay for either console in instalments, but since GAME and Smyths – who are both out of stock – are handling the scheme for them in the UK that doesn’t really help in the short term.

There’s nothing at all unusual about any of this, when it comes to console launches, and most shops will almost certainly get extra stock in during the run-up to Christmas, although it’ll still probably be fairly limited until next year.

The PlayStation 5 will no doubt be in a similar position when it launches on November 19 in the UK (it’s out on Thursday outside of Europe) but GAME has already said it will have more consoles to sell on the day.
