Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Will Feature Revenge Of The Sith’s MagnaGuards

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will feature Revenge of the Sith's MagnaGuards as a new enemy type.

Earlier this week, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was finally revealed at Star Wars Celebration after months of being one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry. We received a short teaser for the game that showed an older Cal going up against a new Sith and trying to revive someone in a bacta tank, as well as shots that hint that he might be using a blaster. Although that was all that was revealed in the trailer, a booth at Star Wars Celebration might have given us more to go on.

As pointed out by Reddit user duckfan96 on the Fallen Order subreddit, Kenner Products, the company behind some of the more recent Star Wars toys, had its own booth. That booth featured a range of merchandise, including three toys that feature Jedi: Survivor branding that hints at both new and returning enemies.

The most interesting toy at the booth was one of a MagnaGuard, battle droids with electrostaffs that were made popular thanks to their appearance in Revenge of the Sith as General Grievous' bodyguards. The MagnaGuard toy shown here looks similar to how we've seen them before, but it has some unique markings on its shoulder.

Another enemy type shown off through a toy at the Kenner booth is a Scout Trooper that has a shield and electric sword. Scout Troopers appeared in Jedi: Fallen Order as well, but the shield is new to the enemy type and implies we'll need to figure out how to remove it. Another enemy returning from Fallen Order is the KX Security Droid, except this one has some kind of electric staff of its own. As if they weren't hard enough to beat when they were bare-handed, huh?

Although none of these enemies are outright confirmed until Respawn or EA show them off, their appearance at the Kenner booth with prominent Jedi: Survivor merchandising makes them a near-certainty to show up in the game in some capacity.
