Stadia Exclusive Super Bomberman R Online "Coming Soon" To Consoles And PC
Super Bomberman R Online – one of Stadia’s best exclusives – is coming soon to consoles and PC. A release date is yet to be announced by Konami, although cross-play compatibility has already been confirmed.
As fun as Super Bomberman R Online is, the game suffered from a small player base – a problem that should be fixed when it launches on other platforms.
“Building on the success of its initial launch on Stadia in September 2020, Super Bomberman R Online is making its way to new platforms,” Konami announced. “This digital download exclusive game will be available in 2021 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. The game will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.”
“With cross-platform play support, you can play against players from all over the world, regardless of the gaming platform you play on.”
Konami goes on to say more info about the upcoming ports will be released in the near future.
Many players in the community thought it was only a matter of time before Super Bomberman R Online found its way to PC, as a recent ESRB listing all but guaranteed its existence. Seeing the fun multiplayer title on consoles is a bit unexpected, but should do wonders for its scarce player population.
Super Bomberman R Online offers plenty of traditional Bomberman action, but the big draw is the massive battle royale mode that sees you fighting against 63 other players to be the last one standing. Along the way, you can earn collectibles, customize your character, and make use of game-changing power-ups in the heat of battle.
Super Bomberman R Online is available for free on Google Stadia, although pricing details for other platforms are yet to be revealed. It would be a bit shocking to see it offered as a premium title – although that would certainly entice more players to try the game through Stadia.
Konami is yet to announce a release date for Super Bomberman R Online.
