Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS4 web-swinging gameplay videos leaked
Footage from the PS4 version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales has appeared online and it seems to show major improvement over the original.
Now that many people have PlayStation 5s at home (including us) you’re bound to see some footage leak out, even though the next embargo isn’t till next week.
However, the most interesting video to appear so far today is from the PlayStation 4 version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which has never been seen until now.
And it looks really good. You can see some clear improvements in the variety and fluidity of the animations (including Miles flailing about, as he’s new to the superhero life) as well as the physics of the swinging itself.
The source is unclear, because the videos keep getting taken down by Sony, but they seem to come from a Brazilian fan whose original tweets have long since been deleted.
Other videos have also popped up on YouTube, which will probably be taken down too, but the GIF above gives you the gist of it.
Despite what you might think at first glance this is definitely not the PlayStation 5 version, as there are no reflections in the building as you pass them and you can see quite a bit of object and shadow pop-in.
It’s certainly not the last minute port that some feared, although the fact that there is a PlayStation 4 version at all has upset some people, who worry that it will limit what can be done with the next gen version.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the highest-profile launch exclusive for the PlayStation 5 but it’s only a spin-off, that lasts around eight hours and is ‘only’ £50 compared to other first party titles that are £70.
It’s also definitely not Spider-Man 2, with developer Insomniac so far giving little indication of when that might appear and if it’ll be PlayStation 5-only.
