Skyrim Together Reborn Mod Already Downloaded Over 56,000 Times

Skyrim is perhaps the most common canvas for any mod developer. There's probably a mod for almost every possible thing you want to do within the game's beautiful world, including making it look more beautiful. But what if you want to experience what Skyrim has to offer with friends? Say it with me – there's a mod for that too.

Skyrim Together Reborn, one of the most anticipated mods for the game, allows for up to eight players to explore the vast map and take on quests together. What's more, the developers have tested it out with up to 30 players, essentially turning the Skyrim you know and love into a MOBA. As you'd expect, the only thing Skyrim fans want more than playing Skyrim, is playing Skyrim together. Perhaps that explains why it was downloaded over 56,000 within two days of its launch on July 8. It's also been viewed over 200,000 times.

As per its description on NexusMods, "Skyrim Together Reborn is a passion project, created through the work of a small team of volunteers. The aim of the mod is to develop a true Skyrim multiplayer experience that brings online multiplayer into this otherwise strictly single player game."

It's unclear whether the devs actually plan on increasing the player limit, but it's going to take a hell of a lot of work to get the game running with 30 Dragonborns running around all over the place. I also imagine it would be pretty loud with all that shouting.

Unlike most other mods, this one requires a lot more work to get started, considering that there's no multiplayer functionality in the base game. With that in mind, the team of developers has included a detailed video guide on how to get it working.

However, if you just want to play by yourself, there are countless mods that can make your journey more interesting. For instance, the College of Winterhold – Quest Expansion mod adds seven new quests based around the college, which will also improve your Dragonborn's knowledge of magic. Unfortunately, you can't compete against Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament.
