Ratchet & Clank on PS5 release date narrowed down in new trailer

A new launch trailer for the PlayStation 5 has provided general release windows for some of next year’s biggest releases.

The PlayStation 5 will be in peoples’ homes very soon and though it has some big exclusives launching alongside it, many are eager for what’s to follow next year.

Quite a few high-profile PlayStation 5 games initially only had a vague 2021 release date, but a new trailer for the console itself has given us a better idea of when to expect them.

According to the trailer, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7, and Returnal are expected to launch in the first half of 2021.

Horizon Forbidden West, the long-awaited sequel to the 2017 PlayStation 4 game, will then follow in the second half of 2021.

No exact dates are given so these could be subject to change, but they’re a good indicator, nonetheless.

Back in August, Ratchet & Clank was said to be releasing within the PlayStation 5’s launch window.

With the console out this month, this could mean that Ratchet & Clank will release within the first few months of 2021, possibly late February or early March.

As for launch games, fans can look forward to the likes of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon’s Souls, and Astro’s Playroom from day one. That last one is even free and comes pre-installed on the PS5.

The PlayStation 5 launches in the UK on November 19, and November 12 outside of Europe.
