New Pokemon Snap 1.2 Update Breakdown And Patch Notes – Proud Warrior Request Finally Fixed

New Pokemon Snap has finally had its first update since the day one patch which smoothed over the game, but still left us with a few problems. Patch 1.2 is now live, and we’re going to be breaking down everything you can expect to discover in this brand new patch.

Is this patch on par with what we’ve seen from Monster Hunter Rise’s recent updates? Honestly, no, but that doesn’t matter because New Pokemon Snap is already a robust game, it just needs a few tiny tweaks to iron out the creases and make it a seamless experience, without any bugged Requests to hamper your progress.

In this guide we’ll be breaking down everything we know about New Pokemon Snap’s 1.2 update, so read down below for everything you need to know. And hey, now that all of the Requests are working, make sure to check out our complete guide to all Requests in New Pokemon Snap.

New Pokemon Snap Update 1.2 Patch Notes

We managed to get the official patch notes from Nintendo’s site, via Pokemon Blog – though there’s not much information here to actually go on, honestly. Here’s the tiny info dump:

New Pokemon Snap Ver. 1.2 (Released May 27, 2021)

  • Several issues have been addressed in order to create a more comfortable play experience.
  • Fixes bugs including the issue where the Proud Warrior mission couldn’t be completed.

Many of New Pokemon Snap’s bugs and issues were invisible to the average player, but the Proud Warrior Request has been a particular sticking point in the community, being one of the few Requests that players have been unable to complete. Luckily, this Request is now fixed, and is probably the biggest change that has been made to New Pokemon Snap.

Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on the update – slim pickings.

How To Download The New Pokemon Snap 1.2 Update Patch

If you haven’t yet downloaded the patch, then you can follow these simple instructions to get it done so you can complete those pesky Requests.

  • On your Nintendo Switch Home menu, hover over the New Pokemon Snap icon and press the + (Plus) button
  • Move to the Software Update tab
  • Select “Via the Internet”

As long as your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet, it should now download and apply patch 1.2 – this won’t take long.

You do also have the option of selecting “Match Version With Local Users,” but as it suggests, you will only be able to update this way if you have another Nintendo Switch nearby with the 1.2 update already downloaded onto it.
