We got lots to unpack here, so let’s launch right into it. Season 7 of Apex Legends is coming and with it will come a brand new way to get into the game. It’s called the Champion Edition, and it comes with $100 worth of exclusive cosmetics, including Legendary skins, Legendary gun charms, and 1,000 Apex Coins to spend on the new season pass or whatever other cosmetics you happen to fancy.

It’ll be $39.99 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Origin (no word on a Steam release yet). However, that’s not the half of it. The Champions Edition trailer gives us a brief look at who will be the new Legend to arrive in Season 7.

The trailer is narrated by everyone’s favorite Mirage, who often finds himself narrating Apex Legends release trailers. Anywho, besides finding out that Rampart is Mirage’s roommate and what new goodies we can expect in Champion Edition, we also get to see the blurry silhouette of the new Legend.

Okay, so that’s not exactly the greatest picture in the world, but there are a few things we can discern. That shadow looks feminine in my books, so we can lean on the possible female options that were leaked last month thanks to various Apex Legends dataminers. Since the hair seemed rather conservative, that means either Ash or Horizon.

But wait, there’s more! A secret message popped up for Apex Legends players today that tells them to go check out the firing range to meet this mysterious Scottish woman. Go past the guns on the right-hand side and you’ll find a locked loot bin that has three challenge requirements in order to open.

Those challenges include dealing 10 damage while midair, getting 10 knockdowns, and surviving longer than 120 other players. Easily doable, but will still take some time to finish. Presumably, we’ll get another clue once someone opens that lockbox, but we’ll have to wait for someone to finish all three challenges before that happens.

Still no word on when Season 7 will arrive, but you gotta think it’ll be soon with all this hype floating around.
