Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Will Have Three Platinum Trophies

The hunt for the Platinum trophy is something that many gamers aim to embark upon, but hardly ever achieve. While getting a Platinum trophy in a Mass Effect game is already a huge task, it appears that the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will have three.

It may seem like you’re getting three possible Platinums for the price of one, but that’s putting it mildly; each of the games in the Legendary Edition trilogy will have its own Platinum. If you know anything about Mass Effect, you know that hundred percenting any of the games in the franchise is no joke. There’s exploration, side-quests, collectibles, and other tasks that could add weeks to your playtime, if not months. And of course, not everyone has the time to stick to one game for so long.

As spotted by GameRant, the Exophase website lists down all the trophies for each of the three games in the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. As you can see, each of them has a separate Platinum. There’s also a special line of trophies which spans the entire edition, rewarding you for your actions across all three games. For example, the Long Service Medal is a Gold trophy that is awarded to you if you “Finish Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 with the same character.” The hardest trophy on this list appears to be Insanity 3, which tasks you with completing all three games on Insanity, without changing the difficulty.

EA recently revealed the game’s performance details with regard to PC and current and last gen consoles. PC players can expect the game to run at 240 fps, while console players will get up to 120 fps in the case of the Xbox Series X.

BioWare also confirmed that the trilogy has received a rework when it comes to the controls as well. Even the Mako will be getting a complete overhaul with new camera controls, a faster-charging shield, and thrusters. However, fans who want to stay true to the original controls will be able to switch to them if they so choose. “For those people out there who do like pain, we’ve left the option to leave it back kind of closer to the original controls as well if you want,” said environment director Kevin Meek.
