Hideo Kojima Is Being Cryptic On Twitter Again

Death Stranding 2's existence is pretty much an open secret at this point after Norman Reedus accidentally blew the lid off the whole project in an interview last month. Ever since, Death Stranding fans have been sat waiting for an official announcement from Kojima Productions, but it seems the man himself still wants to have a bit of fun at the expense of his fanbase.

Hideo Kojima is partial to a cryptic tweet here and there. Two recent examples are his tweet poking fun at Norman Reedus for revealing Death Stranding 2 is in the works, and another with Kojima posing for a picture with Summer Game Fest creator Geoff Keighley. Now he's back with yet another tweet, although this one is a little more subtle than his previous ones.

As can be seen in the tweet embedded below, Kojima recently uploaded a video of him turning on his Hal 9000 model to his Japanese Twitter account. Kojima then pans back to reveal a frame with a picture of a young woman inside, the word "June" written in black next to her and a big "6" above her head. The young woman is also making the shape of a six with her right hand, possibly indicating that Kojima is planning to announce something on June 6.

However, the detailing next to the woman kind of makes it look like a "16" rather than a "6," but unless Kojima is hinting at a standalone reveal, there aren't currently any big events scheduled to take place on either of those days where a reveal for Death Stranding 2 would fit. Then again, Summer Game Fest is set to take place on June 9, and what is a six but an upside-down nine.

Whenever Kojima decides to reveal what he's working on, if he's teasing fans this much then an announcement is sure to happen pretty soon. We'll all just have to keep a close eye on Kojima's Twitter accounts in the coming days.
