Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle Might Finally Be Fixed

One of the biggest issues 343 Industries has been facing is with regard to Halo Infinite's Big Team Battle mode. Lingering issues have resulted in fireteams getting broken up while in the process of matchmaking. The devs have been at it for a while – having initially addressed the issue before the holidays – but no concrete resolution has been made. However, it seems that the team has finally made a major breakthrough, and we should see the result by February 3.

"Using the telemetry we received from the hotfix on January 19, we were able to make a new build with an update that we believe should address the core issue impacting the BTB playlist," said an update on the Halo Waypoint blog. "The studio ran a successful playtest today and plans to send it off for certification on Monday. After it’s sent off, it will take some time to go through the certification process and to find out if it’s approved. Once it’s approved, we’ll begin preparing to release it to the public. Since there’s still a little more of the internal release process to go through, the earliest we’d expect this hotfix to land would be next Thursday, February 3."

Additionally, the post mentions that the team is currently monitoring the recently rolled out individual items in the Shop, and paying attention to feedback on everything from the presentation to pricing. The inability to purchase individual items from a featured bundle was one of the biggest complaints that players had regarding the marketplace. That, and everything being too expensive.

The team will be constantly tweaking things and tracking feedback throughout the remainder of season one in order to finalize the structure and changes to be implemented for season two. And don't worry if you can no longer spot that bundle you had your eyes on earlier, 343 has confirmed that it is "looking at this on a bundle-by-bundle basis. Some bundles will come back into rotation and some will be broken up to allow players to purchase their individual items."

Most importantly, the cat ears (Purrfect Audio helmet attachment) will make its way back to the shop soon.
