Microsoft has confirmed that four more games will be available to download for free during the month of September via the Games with Gold programme.

The full lineup was announced today and was headlined by the Xbox One title – Warhammer: Chaosbane.

One of the newer titles to be featured in Games with Gold this year, Chaosbane is set before the Age of Sigmar and includes hack n slash RPG elements.

Sometimes compared to Diablo as a lite version, the 2018 release pits you against the forces of Chaos as you look to save the world from mad gods.

Chaosbane boasts both solo or with up to four players in local or online cooperative play, where you play the role of a hero.

There are four character classes to choose from, and gamers can wield some of the most powerful artefacts of the Old World against a massive variety of foes.

The full Chaosbane game description reads: “As the four heroes battle through the game, they’ll take on over 70 different enemy types aligned with the Chaos Gods, from Cultists, Ungor and Chaos Warriors to mighty Beasts of Nurgle. You’ll also fight epic boss battles against incredibly powerful foes that will require all your skill and might to defeat.

“As well as an in-depth story mode, Warhammer: Chaosbane has a Boss Rush mode, countless dungeons, and will add new content in regular updates to offer a rich and varied gaming experience that will keep you coming back for more. In addition, each character class offers new challenges, allowing you to play through the story again and experience it differently each time.”

The other Games with Gold titles are split between Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms and includes Mulaka, Zone of the Enders HD Collection, and Samurai Shodown II.

All of these games will be available to download and play for free next month, although they won’t all arrive at the same time.

Chaosbane and Zone of the Enders will be available first on September 1, followed by Mulaka and Samurai Shodown II on September 16. Further descriptions for each game can be found below:
