Fortnite Releases First Look At Original Spider-Man Zero Suit

Fortnite has a massive reach and now incorporates elements and characters from more franchises than you can shake a pickaxe at. Marvel, Star Wars, Terminator, even God Of War. They've all teamed up with Fortnite in the past. Some of those collaborations have become so massive that the game alone can't contain them. Hence Fortnite and Marvel's upcoming series of comic books which will introduce a brand new Spider-Man suit to the world upon arrival.

That's right, Fortnite is getting a completely original Spider-Man suit that has never been seen in any other Marvel property before. Not a game, a movie, or even another comic book. It's called Spider-Man Zero, and on the eve of the launch of the first edition of the Fortnite x Marvel comic, Epic has offered up a first look at the new suit.

The Zero suit, which you can check out below, keeps Spider-Man's iconic blue and red color scheme. What makes it unique is the armor pads that can be found all over it and the suit's unique eye shape. You can also clearly see Spidey's webshooters. Makes sense as not only have they been an in-game item in the past, but an alternate Spider-Man skin with the hero's mask off and Tom Holland's face underneath is already in the game. Holland's Spidey uses shooters and doesn't produce webbing organically like Tobey Maguire's web-slinger.

Fortnite's somewhat convoluted story has revolved around the Zero Point for some time now. However, a fragment of that point has somehow found its way into the Marvel universe. The five-part comic book series will follow various Marvel and Fortnite characters as they team up to track down the shard. It's the second time Fortnite has done this sort of thing, previously teaming up with DC for a limited series of comic books and in-game items.

If you want the Spider-Man Zero skin, you'll need to buy a copy of the comic book. The first part launches tomorrow (June 8) and will include a code that can be redeemed in-game. Each of the other parts will also have exclusive items to redeem, and claiming all five will unlock a special, to be announced skin. Most of the items will be available through the in-game store at a later date if you miss out.
