Capcom mini arcade spotted, has four versions of Street Fighter 2

Capcom has another home arcade machine releasing very soon, though some may not be impressed with its line-up of games.

With the current climate making it less than advisory to visit an actual arcade, miniature arcade machines that can be played at home are more useful than ever.

In fact, it’s been discovered that Capcom is releasing a new one on December 1 called the Capcom Retro Station.

Though not officially announced, a listing for it was spotted on Amazon Japan by Twitter user Renka_schedule.

However, it has less games than the Capcom Home Arcade, only sporting 10 compared to the Home Arcade’s 16.

What’s more, you’d better be a fan of Mega Man and/or Street Fighter, as they are the only two series included in the machine.

On the Mega Man side, there’s Mega Man: The Power Battle and its sequel, Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (two arcade fighting games), the original Mega Man X for the SNES, oft-forgotten spin-off Mega Man Soccer, and Mega Man & Bass (another SNES title which never released in the West, aside from a Game Boy Advance port).

As for the other five games, four of them are different iterations of Street Fighter 2: the original version, Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition, Super Street Fighter 2, and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

The last one is Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo, a tile-matching puzzle game that features characters from Street Fighter and Darkstalkers.

So far, you’ll have to import it from Japan if you want one. Though if you want something with more diversity, you’ll probably want to look into the Sega Astro City Mini, which contains a whopping 36 titles and is also coming out in December.
