A new Call of Duty Cold War update has been released today and can be downloaded right now across PS4, Xbox One, PC and next-gen platofrms.

One of the first major patches to be released since the launch of Season 3, this week’s Call of Duty update is less focused on content and more aimed at removing bugs.

But that doesn’t mean that developers Treyarch don’t have plans to tweak and alters what’s currently available in-game. Thursday, April 29, will see a new playlist patch released, complete with the return of Gunfight Tournament.

A message from Treyarch explains: “The Diesel 24/7 playlist changes over from 3v3 to 6v6 this week. Out in the lonesome desert, a slice of Americana erupts into a sudden battleground, as two teams of six players get to fight in a moshpit of respawn modes including TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint.

“Also this week, the new fan-favorite Face Off returns to Featured Playlists, which will include Diesel in the rotation for 3v3 matchups. Black Ops Cold War’s next Gunfight Tournament is set to begin on Thursday, and the classic party mode Sticks and Stones continues, where every Operator is on their own with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and Tomahawk.”

With that planned for the end of the week, gamers might notice other changes after logging into Cold War tongiht.

Treyarch has confirmed that its latest update delivers various bug fixes and gameplay improvements across Multiplayer and Zombies, including updates for Sticks and Stones, the removal of the Ballistic Knife from Snipers Only Moshpit loadouts, a fix for Beck’s latest Operator Mission in Multi-Team modes, bug fixes for the scoreboard in Zombies, and more.

Meanwhile, Raven Software has confirmed that a new update is being planned for Call of Duty Warzone across all platforms. no set release date has been announced, but there is a good chance the new patch will be available to download before the end of the current week.

This new patch is expected to remove some recent map exploits added to Verdansk, including being able to eliminate players while underneath the level.
