Borderlands 3 PS5 And Xbox Series X/S Versions Will Be Available At Next-Gen Launch
If you’ve been hunting for vaults with your friends in Borderlands 3 and you’re planning to pick up a next-gen console, we’ve got some good news for you. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/Series S versions of Borderlands 3 will be available at the launch of each console: November 10 for Xbox, and November 12 for PlayStation 5.
As previously announced, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game will be free to those who own the game on the respective previous-gen console. Your add-on content and your save file will also transfer, though if you own the disc version of the game, you need a version of the console that has a disc drive in order to claim your copy.
Borderlands 3 will receive a substantial update to take advantage of this next-gen horsepower, including 4K support at 60 frames-per-second, as well as three- and four-player split-screen for local multiplayer. Vertical split-screen for two-player local co-op is also included, and will come to the Xbox One and PS4 versions at the launch of the new consoles.
Though the game’s season pass has mostly run its course–along with four DLC packs, including Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck–Borderlands 3 will receive more content over the coming months, including an upcoming Arms Race mode. A recent update brought a Halloween event to the game and tweaked the character Zane.
