PlayStation fans hoping for a PS5 restock at Argos this week have been dealt a blow. The @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter account has just delivered their latest PlayStation 5 console restock news for gamers in the UK. And, unfortunately, it looks like Argos will not be one of the UK retailers getting a PS5 restock in the coming days.
The PS5 stock tracker account – who has been spot on about previous restocks – said Argos did not receive any PS5 shipments over the weekend, nor did they get any stock last week.
However, the PS5 Stock UK Twitter account did add that GAME, Very and Smyths Toys are expected to get PS5 restocks this week.
The @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter posted: “Argos have not received any shipments of stock over the weekend, or during weekdays last week.
“Therefore, a drop by Argos is not expected this week.

“However, we do expect drops by GAME, Very & Smyths Toys this week, with detailed info coming soon. #PS5 #PS5Stock #PS5Restock”.
The latest PS5 restock news comes after last week marked a barren run for PlayStation 5 stock hunters.
Over the weekend the @PS5StockAlertUK Twitter posted: “This week marked the first week with only one stock drop since the first week of February.”
The good news is April could see plenty of PS5 stock drop, with retail giant Amazon UK tipped to have two separate restocks this month.
The @PS5Instant Twitter on Friday tweeted: “Expecting GAME (9-10am) & Argos (1-4am) 8th to 14th April, Smyths COULD drop tomorrow, but likely next week. Amazon has two shipments this month.”
In other PS5 stock news, as more and more PS5 stock comes into the market the resale value of the PlayStation 5 has continued to drop.
When supply was at its scarcest following last November’s launch of the PS5 resellers were charging eye-watering prices.
Scalpers on eBay were seen asking for double or more the regular asking price of the PS5, while StockX was also selling the PS5 at a hugely marked-up price, and CeX was selling the PS5 for over £800.
CeX previously was offering £650 in cash or vouches for those looking to sell the PS5 towards the end of last year.
The high-street retailer was then charging £815 for boxed PlayStation 5 consoles.

But, in a sign that the tide is turning, latest CeX website listings show the price of a boxed PS5 has drastically dropped.
CeX is now charging £680 for a PS5 – which is a considerable mark-up.
Interestingly though, the gaming store is only offering £470 in cash or vouchers for people looking to sell a PS5 to them.
This is considerably less than a few months ago, and just £20 more than the PS5’s typical asking price.
Along with the plummeting price of PS5s on eBay and via StockX, this hopefully is a sign that scalping is becoming less profitable – which is only good news for gamers that are genuinely looking to purchase a PS5 to play on, not resell.
