Top Universities Battle for the Title of Champion in the CSL Grand Finals – The Esports Observer

CSL Esports, in conjunction with the esports program at Louisiana State University, will showcase 17 of the top collegiate esports teams in the U.S this weekend as they compete for $60K USD in scholarship money and the title of Champion.

From May 1-2, teams will compete in six different games with gameplay being streamed live with LSU taking on the role of virtual host.

The titles in which teams will be competing for the $60K in scholarship prize pool money are  League of Legends, Dota 2, Rocket League, Valorant, CS:GO, and Street FighterV.

During the CSL Esports 2020-2021 season, over 1.5K teams with over 9.5K student-athletes from 448 schools took part in competitions. As it stands there are just over 200 institutions of higher learning that field varsity esports programs.
