T1 to add DRX’s Keria to 2021 roster – Daily Esports
T1 is making some big moves this upcoming season, as they have now acquired former DragonX support player Ryu “Keria” Min-seok. Keria began his career with Kingzone DRX in 2018. Since then, he’s been considered incredibly skilled, carrying DRX to new heights through the 2020 World Championship.
For the time Keria’s been in the professional League of Legends scene, he has reached plenty of achievements. He helped bring DRX to third place in the 2020 LCK Spring Split and had one of the best performances of all support players at that time. In Summer 2020, DRX achieved their first win against T1 thanks to Keria taking risks and maintaining control of the game. Additionally, fans voted Keria on the All-LCK first team, eventually winning the Best Young Player Award at that time. Overall, he’s shown nothing but outstanding performances this past year and is sure to be an asset for T1 moving forward.
Success through roster changes
T1 found success in this year’s Spring Split, but failed to make it to the World Championship. After the organization and its fans struggled to come to terms with their performance, the team underwent some serious changes. T1’s head coach Jun Su “Kim” Kim resigned from the team, which left some uncertainty floating around the community.
For this upcoming roster, the team announced that they’re signing Yang “Daeny” Dae-in as the new head coach, and Lee “Zefa” Jae-min as the main coach. Daeny was previously a coach for World Championship winner Damwon Gaming, and Zefa worked beside him as the team’s head coach. Joining T1’s academy team as coach is Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong.
There is no other announcement regarding any further changes to T1’s roster. However, the Free Agency period has just started, so fans should expect to hear more information on upcoming roster additions sometime in the near future.
