PSG.LGD lead the charts at the end of week 3 of DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2
Following a rather disappointing top eight finish earlier this month at OGA Dota PIT Online, China division, PSG.LGD focused their energy to dominate their regional adversaries at DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2.
A total of 10 squads from China are playing in a one-month league to establish themselves as the best in the region. The second season of DPL-CDA league started on the 24 of June and this coming Tuesday it’s entering the final week of group stage matches. Two teams will end their run before the playoffs kick off, but so far PSG.LGD are on the path of redeeming themselves for the poor performance at Dota PIT. The Chinese juggernaut team stands at the top of the group with 6 victories and 2 losses after three weeks of group play.
CDEC Gaming are right behind PSG.LGD, and continue to impress after taking the Dota PIT title only two days ago with an incredible 3-2 reverse sweep over Vici Gaming. CDEC scored 5 victories so far while losing a series to Team Aster, one to EHOME and one to PSG.LGD. Another team that keeps on giving a hard time to the more experienced Chinese teams is Sparking Arrow Gaming (SAG). They entered the DPL-CDA circuit coming from the promotion rounds, along with CDEC in Season 1. Both teams took the same route for Season two as well and now they proudly sit in the top three in the group stage.
Vici Gaming, Team Aster, EHOME, Royal Never Give Up and Invictus Gaming are placed from 4th to 8th positions in the group with Team Sirius in 9th place and in danger of elimination. iG. Vitality are at the very bottom of the group with no victories scored over three weeks of games. Unfortunately for them, the final week of the group stage features just two series for them, which might not be enough for a last minute save from elimination.
DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2 final week of group play will kick off Tuesday, July 14, with a best of three battle between RNG and Invictus Gaming. PSG.LGD have just one match-up scheduled for this final week, against iG.Vitality, while SAG have three series scheduled and CDEC just one.
