PaulEhx replaces Parasite on the London Royal Ravens – Daily Esports
The London Royal Ravens have replaced Christopher “Parasite” Duarte with Paul “PaulEhx” Avila from popular Call of Duty Challengers team WestR.
PaulEhx is a 19 year old Challenger player who has been competing in Call of Duty since 2018. He’s played for several amateur teams, including a short stint on Atlanta FaZe’s academy roster. PaulEhx is just one of many young superstars who’ve made their way into the Call of Duty League this year. We have already seen Conor “Diamondcon” Johst and Travis “Neptune” McCloud make names for themselves in the CDL, as part of the New York Subliners and the Florida Mutineers, respectively.
WestR is an upcoming Challenger organization established by a group of West Coast players. They were officially branded in November of 2020, before the Call of Duty League began with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Since January, WestR has won back-to-back Challengers Cups and recently placed second at the Challengers Stage 1 Playoffs. PaulEhx has been on WestR’s Black Ops Cold War roster from the beginning.
PaulEhx brought in to fix London’s issues
The London Royal Ravens have struggled to find success in the Call of Duty League. After the Stage 1 groups, London ended up 6-0 down, without a single series victory. This placed them in the lower bracket at the Stage 1 major, where they were forced to play with Zach “Zed” Denyer as a stand-in. Zed was playing for Alex “Alexx” Carpenter, who could not attend the major due to family issues.
Trei “Zer0” Morris, who has been stuck in the United Kingdom, was the player Parasite was replacing on the roster. Now three months into the league, Zer0 appears to be no closer to coming to the United States. PaulEhx will now replace Parasite on the roster, with the hope that the Royal Ravens can have better results in Stage 2. The Call of Duty League Stage 2 group stage begins Thursday, March 18.
