Mission Control Secures $1.75M Seed Funding Round
Recreational esports league platform Mission Control announced that it has raised a $1.75M USD Seed financing round led by Dundee Venture Capital. Further investors participating in the round included M25, Cultivation Capital, and MATH Venture Partners.
St. Louis-based Mission Control was co-founded by its CEO Austin Smith and COO Byron Abrigg in October 2018 to “help gather and grow communities with digitally organized social experiences.” The company’s CEO Smith explained in a release that Mission Control is planning to use the proceeds of the seed investment to drive platform expansion and client growth to “bring the structure of traditional recreational leagues and the excitement of esports to social gamers and their communities across the country.”
Lead investor Dundee Venture Capital will also join Mission Control as a board member.
