Liquid knocked out of cs_summit 6 by Gen.G, EG await in grand final

The Gen.G CS:GO roster has earned its place in the cs_summit 6 grand final after shocking Liquid in a best-of-three. The two squads met in the consolidation final after both having suffered losses to Evil Geniuses earlier in the tournament. Gen.G will now meet EG again in the gran final.

Liquid got off to a good start in the series, rolling to a 4-0 to kick off map one, Nuke. From there things got a bit more dicey as Gen.G began to rattle back and take the lead at 6-5 thanks to plays from Timothy ‘autimatic’ Ta, Hansel ‘BnTeT’ Ferdinand, and Damian ‘daps’ Steele. Liquid would manage to find their footing, however, and secure the half 8-7. The second wouldn’t be much smoother thoug has both teams contested for most of the rounds with Liquid ultimately gaining the upper hand and securing map one 16-13.

Although Mirage would start off in the same fashion with an early 4-0 start for Liquid, once again daps and company bounced back to make things competitive. In the end, the match would play out in similar fashion but this time it would be Gen.G to take it 16-13.

Finally it would be Gen.G to get the early lead as they went up 4-0 on Vertigo thanks to Sam “s0m” Oh’s early 12 kills. A 9-6 halftime lead for Gen.G wouldn’t look so firm when Liquid picked up the pistol but a follow-up force buy victory for Gen.G would make things much more difficult for Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski’s team. Liquid would only manage two more rounds as Gen.G cruised to a 16-9 map victory to take the series 2-1.
