EA Sports, NFL Choose ESPN as Broadcast Partner for Madden NFL 21 Bowl: Draft Edition – The Esports Observer

EA Sports and the NFL will announce Thursday that they have partnered with ESPN to bring the semifinals and finals of the first Madden NFL 21 Bowl: Draft Edition to ESPN.com and its app. 

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the terms of the deal, the semifinals and finals of the Madden Bowl: DE will air May 2-4 on ESPN.com, the ESPN App, and will also be broadcast on EA Sports’ Madden NFL Twitch and YouTube channels.

The competition officially got underway on April 20, when the top eight Madden Bowl: DE players selected teammates in a two-round snake draft (fantasy football-style) format, and then on April 25,  competed in a single-elimination bracket. The semifinalists will compete on May 2, with the eventual Madden Bowl: DE champion crowned on May 4. The total prize pool for the competition is $330K USD, which the champion will take the lion’s share of.
