CSGO star NiKo's move to G2 is nearly complete – report
Nikola “NiKo” Kovač is nearing a move to G2 Esports according to a new report from HLTV. This follows an earlier report that the Berlin-based organization was attempting to sign the high profile player from FaZe Clan.
It seems those attempts have moved along nicely with it being right around the corner. The report also states that FaZe are already on the hunt for who will replace their star player in the lineup ahead of BLAST Premier Fall Series where it’s expected NiKo will be playing under a new banner.
NiKo has been a hot commodity for years but sat comfortably on the FaZe Clan roster since March 2017 when he was signed from mousesports. According to Dot Esports he was transferred for a fee of roughly $500,000.
Currently, there’s no word on who would be making their departure from the G2 lineup although the general consensus is François “AmaNEk” Delaunay is the most likely to go given the teams desire to add more firepower to their arsenal.
This move would pair NiKo with his cousin Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač whom he’d predicted to come a successful player back in 2017. This certainly came to fruition as huNter- has soared to the top of Counter-Strike and continued to perform throughout his time on G2.
