Ashe’s Dynamite Nerfed In Latest Overwatch Patch

Bob, do something! Ashe’s dynamite has been nerfed from 75 damage to 50 during the latest Overwatch patch on September 24.

The development team on the official Overwatch blog said that the character is “still a bit too powerful,” but it wants to keep her rifle impactful in the game. To balance out how strong she is, Blizzard has decided to reduce Dynamite’s power.

They’ve also made changes to Baptiste, McCree, Orisa, and Roadhog. Baptiste has been buffed with the Amplification Matris cost being reduced by 15%. The distance of Mccree’s roll has been increased by 20%, so he can more easily escape bad situations and fare better in battle after his damage output was scaled down. Mccree’s flashbang has been slightly buffed with 0.1 of a second added to its stun duration.

Orisa’s base armor has been increased from 200 to 250 and her Fusion Driver projectile speed has been drastically buffed from 90 to 120. Blizzard explained in the blog that they wanted to make her weapon feel more responsive. Lastly, Roadhog’s Chain Hook pulls targets half a meter closer for more accuracy with combos against smaller heroes.

The patch is now live within a suddenly more active Overwatch base. The game has recently been in the news with the implementation of the Tracer’s Comic Challenge event. Until September 28, players can obtain a new Tracer skin by winning nine Arcade games. If you’re a fan of the character, you should jump in now! In addition, you can get special sprays and voice lines by watching Overwatch streamers for up to six hours.

We might get a feeling of deja vu soon as yet another Halloween event is expected to arrive next month. The fan-favorite co-op mode Junkenstein’s Revenge will likely return, but ultimately, it would be great to get something new from the development team.

Overwatch has been getting a bit stale over the past few years, with a noticeable lack of surprising events. Also, without any Overwatch 2 news, it’s been a long time since the game received a new character. Echo was the last hero to emerge, and she was released back in April. Hopefully, the sequel will be re-revealed and gain the attention of the mainstream once again.
