Fortnite Lazy Lake Floating Ring Locations: Where To Collect Rings

Week 3 of Fortnite Season 3 is here, which means there’s a new batch of challenges to complete in the battle royale game. While most of the challenges are fairly straightforward, one that may give you a bit of trouble is to collect floating rings at Lazy Lake. To help you out, we’ve put together this map and guide detailing where to find the floating rings and how to complete the challenge.

Where Are The Floating Rings Locations?

As the challenge states, the floating rings are all located around Lazy Lake in grid square F6. You’ll find them in various places around the area, but if you’re having trouble tracking them down, we’ve marked the locations of all the rings we’ve found on the map below.

How To Complete The Challenge

Once you spot a floating ring, all you need to do to collect it is walk or jump into it. Collect four rings and you’ll complete the challenge and earn 35,000 XP for your troubles.

While you’re at Lazy Lake, you can also track down fireworks, which have begun appearing around the area just in time for the Fourth of July (and fittingly explode into the shape of Captain America’s shield when lit). It appears the fireworks will be part of a separate challenge that’s not yet live, but you can prepare for it with our fireworks locations guide.

Another Week 3 challenge that may give you some trouble is to land a choppa at Steamy Stacks, so be sure to check out our guide for tips on how to complete that. If you need help with any other missions from this season, you can find more maps and guides in our Fortnite Season 3 challenges roundup.

Fortnite Season 3 Challenges: Land A Choppa; Catch Fish; And More

Season 3 of Fortnite: Chapter 2 is officially here. As is the case every time a new season begins, much has changed in Epic’s popular battle royale shooter. The island has completely flooded, and there are new AI enemies called Marauders to contend with and a new type of vehicle to commandeer: cars (although those aren’t actually available in the game yet). A new season also means new challenges, and if you need help with those, we’ve got you covered.

Every week in Season 3, Epic will roll out a new batch of missions to complete while playing. Clearing these will net you XP to level up your Battle Pass, which in turn will unlock new skins and other cosmetic items. This time around, there’s also a set of Aquaman challenges that will unlock special Aquaman skins when completed. Only two of these challenges are actually live right now, with an additional one coming every week, but you’ll need to clear all five to unlock the skins.

If you need help completing this season’s missions, we’ve rounded up all of our Fortnite Season 3 maps and guides below. We’ll continue to update this list with additional maps and guides as Season 3 rolls on, so check back often for the latest tips.

Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 3 Challenges

        • Catch different types of fish in a single match (2)
        • TBA
        • TBA

Use A Whirlpool At The Fortilla

The first challenge you need to complete to unlock the special Aquaman skin is to use a whirlpool at The Fortilla, one of the new locations on the Season 3 map. The Fortilla is located directly south of Holly Hedges, so all you need to do to clear this challenge is glide to the area and drop into a whirlpool. Once you’ve done so, you’ll unlock the King of the Beach loading screen for your troubles. You can see exactly where The Fortilla is located above.

        Week 3 Challenges

        • Search chests or ammo boxes at Misty Meadows (7)
        • Eliminations at The Authority (3)
        • Collect Floating Rings at Lazy Lake (4)
        • Dance on top of the crane at Rickety Rig
        • Deal damage from inside a cornfield at Frenzy Farm (100)
        • Destroy cars within 60 seconds of landing at Retail Row from the Battle Bus (2)
        • Land a choppa at the bottom of Steamy Stacks

        Week 2 Challenges

        • Use different ziplines at The Authority (8)
        • Search chests or ammo boxes at Holly Hedges (7)
        • Find Deadpool floaties at The Yacht (3)
        • Score a goal on a soccer pitch at Pleasant Park
        • Eliminations at Lazy Lake (3)
        • Headshot Henchmen at The Fortilla (20)
        • Gather or consume foraged items at The Orchard (5)

Find Deadpool Floaties At The Yacht

Season 2 may be over, but you can still find remnants of Deadpool’s pool party around the Season 3 map. For this challenge, you need to find three Deadpool floaties at The Yacht, the giant cruise ship that used to float around off the coast of the island. The Yacht was destroyed during The Device event that capped off Season 2, but you can still see its remains in the northernmost part of the map, and you’ll find four Deadpool floaties scattered around it. You can see exactly where The Yacht is located above.

Use Different Ziplines At The Authority

For this challenge, you’ll need to use eight different ziplines at The Authority, the new fortress-like compound that replaced Season 2’s Agency in the very center of the map. This shouldn’t pose too much of a problem; there are ziplines scattered all around The Authority, and all you need to do to use one is approach it and press the button prompt that appears. If you need help finding The Authority, however, we’ve marked its location on the map above.

Gather Or Consume Foraged Items At The Orchard

While much of Fortnite’s map radically changed in the transition to Season 3, The Orchard remains the same as it was last season. You can find it just north of Frenzy Farm, and you’ll need to go there to gather or consume foraged items. This is fairly straightforward. You’ll find all kinds of foraged food items around The Orchard, including apples beneath trees, cabbages in soil, and mushrooms in boxes, so simply collect or consume five to complete the challenge. You can see The Orchard’s location on the map above.

        Week 1 Challenges

        • Damage Loot Sharks at Sweaty Sands (200)
        • Deal damage within 10 seconds of landing from the whirlpool at Hydro 16
        • Enter Catty Corner Vault
        • Find Gnomes at Homely Hills (3)
        • Search chests or ammo boxes at Rickety Rig (7)
        • Land at Misty Meadows and finish top 25
        • Eliminations at Steamy Stacks (3)

        Find Gnomes At Homely Hills

After narrowly avoiding a full-blown war with the teddy bears last season, the gnomes are back in Season 3. For this challenge, you’ll need to find three gnomes at Homely Hills, one of the new locations on the map. The trickiest part is actually locating the area itself given how substantially the island has changed when Season 3 began, but it’s located to the northwest of Pleasant Park. Head there and search around a bit and you shouldn’t have much trouble completing the challenge. You can see exactly where Homely Hills is on the map above.

Fortnite Fireworks Locations: Where To Light Fireworks For Captain America Challenge

It’s the third week of Fortnite: Chapter 2, Season 3, which means there’s a new set of challenges to complete in the game. With the Fourth of July just around the corner, fireworks have also begun appearing in certain places around Lazy Lake, and it seems they’re tied to a separate Captain America challenge. While that task is not actually live yet, here’s where the fireworks are located and what you need to do to complete the challenge once it becomes available.

Where Are The Fireworks Locations?

There are at least six different sets of fireworks around the island, and they’re all located around Lazy Lake in grid square F6. You can see the locations of all the fireworks we’ve found on the map below.

How To Complete The Challenge

Once you find a firework, simply hold the Use button to light it; the firework will then take off into the sky and explode into the shape of Captain America’s shield, as you can see below. Since this challenge currently isn’t live, you won’t make any challenge progress for lighting the fireworks just yet, but once Epic unlocks it, you’ll get a nice bundle of XP for your troubles.

There are a few other new challenges to complete in Fortnite this week, including one that asks you to land a choppa inside Steamy Stacks. Epic has also rolled out yet another Aquaman challenge, which will net you the Sea Shaka emoji and bring you another step closer to unlocking this season’s Aquaman skins. For help with other challenges, you can find all of our maps and guides in our Fortnite Season 3 challenges roundup.

Fortnite: Landing A Choppa Inside Steamy Stacks Guide

The third week of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is nearly here with a number of new challenges that will have you clicking heads all over the map. A particularly tough challenge will take you to Steamy Stacks, the flooded factory located in the upper corner of the map. You’ll need to land a choppa at the bottom of Steamy Stacks. This guide will show you how to get to Steamy Stacks with a helicopter and help you land it right in one of those stacks. After you do that, you can take on other Season 3 challenges and get ready for Aquaman.

This challenge leaked early so check back on July 2nd to try it for yourself within Fortnite.

Where is Steamy Stacks?

Steamy Stacks is located in the top right corner of the map. It’s flooded after The Device event so you can no longer explore most of it. There are still some upper floors as well as rooms in both stacks that contain weapons. It’s separated from the rest of the map by water.

How Can I Get a Helicopter?

Helicopters spawn in several regular locations across Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 3’s map. Be aware though: the spots with helipads are usually popular, meaning you may have to fight to get to your ride.

Here are a few locations where you can find a helicopter near Steamy Stacks and the rest of the map:

  • On the southern edge of The Yacht
  • At the top of The Authority building
  • At the southern end of Rickety Rig
  • On the western side of The Fortilla
  • On the southern edge of The Yacht
  • On an island in the river north of Misty Meadows
  • South of Catty Corner on the snowy mountain
  • East of Frenzy Farm

How Do I Land A Choppa In Steamy Stacks?

The helipad locations closest to Steamy Stacks are at The Authority and The Yacht, although you can get a helicopter from any of those locations and get to Steamy Stacks easily. Depending on the route of the battle bus you should drop at the location closest to you, immediately get the helicopter and then go straight to Steamy Stacks. Be aware of where the circle is once you start flying.

Once you get there you’ll need to pilot the helicopter slowly over one of the two giant stacks and slowly descend into it. It’s easier than it sounds since you have plenty of room and the helicopter is quite sturdy. Make sure you actually land the chopper on the little watch tower within the stack in order to complete the challenge.

What Reward to I Get For Landing The Choppa?

Once those propellers stop spinning you’ll get experience points to help you level up.

Fortnite Summer Splash Events Adds Lots Of New Skins And LTMs

Season 3 of Fortnite: Chapter 2 may have only recently begun, but a lot has already changed in the hit battle royale game. Tying into the new season’s water theme, developer Epic has announced the Fortnite Summer Splash, which will bring a slew of new and returning modes, skins, and more over the next few weeks.

From now until the end of Season 3, Epic will be bringing back “refreshed classic” limited-time modes to the game, such as Fog of War (formerly known as Sneaky Silencers), Close Encounters, and Unvaulted. Epic says these LTMs will all get “some Summer Splash refreshment with some new features.”

In addition to the returning LTMs, Epic will also introduce new modes throughout the season. On top of a “new take” on Operation: Knockout, the studio teases “a reel ’em in royale” and a “game of elimination-powered upgrades.”

Beyond that, Epic will also add new, summer-themed skins and other items to the game. The Summer Drift and Beach Bomber skins will return as well. You can read more details about the Fortnite Summer Splash on Epic’s official website.

Season 3 of Fortnite is currently slated to end August 26, although that date could very well change. Both Season 1 and Season 2 were extended by several weeks as Epic continued to roll out new in-game events and challenges, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Season 3 get extended as well.

Although we’re still fairly early into Season 3, there are already a handful of challenges to complete. You can find all of our maps and guides for the trickier ones in our Fortnite Season 3 challenges roundup. You can also see some of the new Battle Pass skins you can unlock and everything new in Season 3 here.

In other news, Epic announced Fortnite’s Save the World mode is officially leaving Early Access. However, unlike Battle Royale mode, Save the World will not be free to play. The studio went on to say, “Development of new content will slow down after this official release, but the adventure doesn’t end here for Save the World.”

Pokemon Go Fest Weekly Challenges, Summer Events Detailed

Pokemon Go Fest 2020 takes place on July 25 and 26, but there will be plenty to do in the game before the big event. In addition to a couple of summer events, Niantic will hold several weeks’ worth of limited time challenges in the leadup to Go Fest 2020, and completing these will unlock additional bonuses and Pokemon during Go Fest weekend. Here’s the rundown.

Week 1 Challenges

  • July 3 (8 AM local) – July 8 (10 PM local)

The first weekly set of challenges will coincide with Pokemon Go’s fourth anniversary event, and the theme of this set is skill. Week 1’s challenges will revolve around catching Pokemon, so you’ll need to throw your Poke Balls precisely to clear the tasks.

If you complete all three sets of Week 1 challenges, you’ll earn encounters with Ducklett and Flying Pikachu, the latter of which will be appearing as part of the fourth anniversary event. You’ll also earn a Star Piece and other items for completing the challenges. Depending on how many players from each team complete Week 1’s set, you’ll unlock the following Pokemon during Go Fest weekend as well:

  • One million Team Instinct players: Chimecho
  • One million Team Mystic players: Alomomola
  • One million Team Valor players: Chansey

Fourth Anniversary Event

As previously mentioned, Pokemon Go’s fourth anniversary event will be running alongside the Week 1 challenges. Throughout the event, Flying-type and party hat-wearing Pokemon will appear in the wild, raids, and eggs much more frequently than usual. You’ll also have a chance to catch shiny versions of Pidove and Flying Pikachu.

Beyond that, Niantic will be bringing back the Jump-Start Special Research questline, which is designed to help newer and lapsed players who are returning to the game catch up with others more quickly. There will also be a special Ho-Oh Raid Weekend from 8 AM local time on July 3 to 10 PM local time on July 6.

Week 2 Challenges

  • July 10 (8 AM local) – July 15 (10 PM local)

The second weekly batch of challenges are battle-based. Completing all three sets will net you encounters with Absol and Hitmonlee, as well as a Super Rocket Radar and other items. As before, you’ll be able to unlock additional Pokemon during Go Fest weekend if enough members of each team complete the challenges:

  • One million Team Instinct players: Ferroseed
  • One million Team Mystic players: Alolan Grimer
  • One million Team Valor players: Alolan Marowak

In addition to the challenges, Niantic will hold a battle themed event on July 12. The event will run from 11 AM to 2 PM local time, although no other details about it have been revealed yet.

Week 3 Challenges

  • July 17 (8 AM local) – July 22 (10 PM local)

The third and final batch of timed weekly challenges will be themed around friendship. If you complete all three sets of tasks, you’ll earn encounters with Alolan Raichu and Petilil, as well as a Lucky Egg and more. You can also help unlock the following Pokemon during Pokemon Go Fest 2020 if enough players on each team complete the challenges:

  • One million Team Instinct players: Togetic
  • One million Team Mystic players: Dratini
  • One million Team Valor players: Litwick

Summer Event

Coinciding with the third batch of Weekly Challenges will be a summer event, during which summer-themed Pokemon like the aforementioned Petilil will be appearing in the wild and raids more often than usual. You’ll also have a chance to catch shiny Bellsprout as well as a summer style Pikachu. You can read more about the events and challenges on the official Pokemon Go website.

NBA 2K21 Cover Star Is Blazers' Damian Lillard

Although the details involving NBA 2K21 largely remain a mystery, one piece of information has now been revealed. NBA 2K21’s cover star will be Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.

The news was shared by NBA reporter Shams Charania as part of an interview with Lillard himself. You can check out the cover, as revealed by Charania, below, along with the interview.

It looks as though Lillard will be on the cover of the standard edition of the game, but we know 2K21 will have three cover stars. In recent years, alternate players would be placed on the covers of the game’s special edition and international-themed editions.

“It means a lot,” Lillard said. It’s one of those things like a signature shoe, not just anybody gets it. … Every time I come across a game that is my favorite year of a game, the way that you recognize it is by–AI was on the cover, or Kobe was on that cover.”

Lillard was in the midst of arguably his best season before the NBA shut things down in March, although the Blazers were likely to miss the playoffs due in no small part to injuries.

Given the uncertainty surrounding the NBA season due to COVID-19, it’s unclear what impact there might be on the NBA 2K21. A release date has not yet been announced, but a new 2K game typically is released in October, near the start of the upcoming season. With the current NBA season–which would normally be over by now–only set to resume at the end of July, a start date has not been locked in for the 2020-21 season.

Among other platforms, NBA 2K21 is headed to PS5 and Xbox Series X. A video teaser of 2K21 on PS5 was recently revealed, showcasing some stunning visuals–albeit without showing us any typical gameplay.

[Last Chance] Pokemon Go June Field Research Tasks And Research Breakthrough Reward

June is officially here, and there’s a lot happening in Pokemon Go this month. In addition to all the events Niantic has lined up for the game over the next few weeks, a new batch of Field Research tasks is now live, giving you a chance to earn a new Research Breakthrough reward.

Unlike Special Research questlines, which are assigned by Professor Willow, Field Research tasks are distributed via PokeStops. You’ll receive a random task when you spin the Photo Disc. These can run the gamut from catching certain types of Pokemon to winning a Raid, and you’ll earn various rewards for completing them, including berries, Poke Balls, and even Pokemon encounters.

The first Field Research task you complete each day will also net you a stamp. If you amass seven of these, you’ll achieve a Research Breakthrough, which will unlock even more rewards, including a chance to catch a special Pokemon. This month’s Research Breakthrough encounter is Trapinch, a Ground type and the first form of Flygon. You’ll also earn bonus Trapinch Candy for capturing it.

Fortnite: Deadpool Floaties And Yacht Location Guide

Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 2 may be over, but little bits of Deadpool’s pool party are still popping up. One of the challenges in Season 3’s Week 2 tasks you with going to the ruins of Deadpool’s Yacht to collect three red and black floaties. Here’s a guide on how to locate the Yacht and the three floaties. You can make the Merc With a Mouth proud leading into the Aquaman content the game has planned.

Deadpool Yacht Location

The Yacht was left in pieces after The Device event submerged the entire Season 3 map in water. The remains of the boat can be found at the very northern tip of the map. It’s got huge holes, new sections, and no people on board. Be wary though as the Yacht regularly falls out of the storm early in the game. Water is much more of a nuisance now than it was prior to The Device event.

Deadpool Floaties Locations

There are four floaties located on the boat, but you only need to collect three. One is on the very highest level next to a golden chest near the back end of the boat, a second is on the left hand side in between two beach chairs on the deck of the boat, and a third is located on the right hand side of the boat in one of the shipping containers connected to it.

What Reward Do You Get for Completing The Challenge?

Collecting all the necessary floaties will give you 40,000 experience points.

Fortnite Season 3: Everything Arriving In The Splash Down Update

Fortnite: Season 3 is finally here. Epic Games has launched the much-anticipated third season of its free-to-play battle royale game. Much like fans anticipated, it has an underwater theme that was brought about by “The Device” in a special event just before the start of the season. Following server downtime in the early morning hours, the new update is now available and servers are back online with the water-themed makeover for the map, a new battle pass, and much more. One of the biggest additions is a surprise appearance from superhero Aquaman and even the actor who brought the character to life in the recent DC films. If you’re a fan of comics or underwater adventure, it’s one season you won’t want to miss. Additional changes could even add new features as we move deeper into the season.

The cinematic launch trailer for Season 3 showcases the water theme and what seems to be the Season’s official tagline, “Splash Down.” It’s a delightfully whimsical trailer, and even Aquaman himself–Jason Momoa–shows up. Fortnite made the switch from a Marvel character as its temporary star–Deadpool had his own set of challenges–to one of DC’s classic heroes. He can be the target of jokes, but Aquaman’s no laughing matter when Jason Momoa is playing him.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Splash Down Overview

Epic Games has also released the official description for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Splash Down. It confirms that the island has become flooded, and there are new places to see and even sharks to ride.

“The Island has flooded, there are new areas to explore, Marauders to take on and… sharks to ride? Survive more than just the Storm. Adapt to the new flooded way of life on the Island. Watch your back!”

Fortnite Season 3 Challenges

The first wave of challenges are available, including fairly standard ones–such as asking you to search gnomes at Homely Hills–and Aquaman challenges that will allow you to unlock the character’s two skins. New challenges will roll out weekly on Thursdays, as per usual, and will allow you to level up the Battle Pass and earn its many rewards, which you can check out below.

New Gameplay System: Marauders

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 also introduces a new gameplay system in the form of Marauders, who crash down onto the island and present a threat to you. “Defend yourself from new Marauders as they crash down onto the island and challenge your survival,” Epic says.

Fortnite Map Changes

As expected, the island map has been submerged in water to some extent, radically altering areas. Some spots are underwater completely, while others are partially submerged and others–which used to be at high elevations–are now barely above sea level. To compensate for this, there are new ways of getting around, such as using a fishing pole on a shark to have it pull you through the water.

Cars in Fortnite

Cars have been teased and will be drivable as part of Season 3, but it doesn’t appear you can actually do so just yet. Over the course of the season, the water level will apparently lower, and at some point, that will provide access to cars as a new type of vehicle.

Fortnite Crashes

Epic says it’s aware of crashes that occur after using the emote wheel and is working to resolve them. You may simply want to avoid using the feature for now to ensure you don’t get booted out of a game. There’s no word on how quickly that will be fixed, but you can keep track of all of the ongoing Season 3 issues on the Fortnite Trello board.

New Battle Pass

As usual, a new season means a new Battle Pass. The Chapter 2 Season 3 Battle Pass offering comes with a series of cosmetic extras. Buying the pass outright instantly unlocks the new Fade and Ocean outfits. Aquaman is coming later in the year, Epic said, and presumably will be tied into challenges much like Deadpool.

The Battle Pass also includes a new feature called “Build-A-Brella,” which allows players to create their own unique umbrella, again mimicking a setup we saw last season with the Maya skin.

Reach level 100, and you’ll earn Masked, an extra style option for the Fade skin. But there’s an additional reward for making it all the way to the end of the Battle Pass, and that’s the Eternal Knight skin. By continuing to level up, you’ll be able to customize it further and “show off Eternal’s Knight’s true colors.”
